Controls and Lock Screen
Pinwork can appear in system controls and Lock Screen surfaces so you can open the right place quickly or check progress without launching from the Home Screen.
These surfaces are mostly entry points or snapshots. They do not all mutate task data directly.
Control widgets
Section titled “Control widgets”Pinwork includes iOS controls for:
- Quick Add
- Today
- Inbox
- Upcoming
Controls can appear in Control Center, Lock Screen controls, and Action Button flows where the system supports Control widgets.
They open Pinwork to the selected destination.
Quick Add control
Section titled “Quick Add control”The Quick Add control opens Pinwork to task capture.
It does not create the task entirely inside the control. The app opens so you can finish capture in Pinwork.
Today, Inbox, and Upcoming controls
Section titled “Today, Inbox, and Upcoming controls”These controls open Pinwork to the selected list:
- Today
- Inbox
- Upcoming
They are useful from Control Center, Lock Screen controls, or Action Button setups that trigger a control.
Lock Screen widgets
Section titled “Lock Screen widgets”Pinwork Lock Screen widgets can show compact progress or task summary information depending on the widget family.
Lock Screen widgets use a lightweight widget snapshot. Open Pinwork if the widget seems stale or does not show the latest changes yet.
Title redaction
Section titled “Title redaction”If you do not want task titles visible on the Lock Screen, enable title redaction in Pinwork settings.
When enabled, Lock Screen surfaces can hide task titles while still showing progress or summary information.
Action Button
Section titled “Action Button”On supported iPhone models, the Action Button can be configured through system settings to run a shortcut or supported system action.
Use Pinwork’s controls or App Shortcuts when you want the Action Button to open Quick Add, Today, Inbox, or Upcoming.
Access limits
Section titled “Access limits”Opening Pinwork to a destination does not require changing task data.
Actions that create, complete, reopen, defer, delete, or otherwise change tasks require active access. If access is locked, Pinwork opens the access screen instead of mutating data.
